Germany - Bielefeld to Cologne

This Rhenish Lignite Mining Area produced a lot of important archaeological finds from around Bergheim. The helmet is thought to be from a Franconian Noble around the 6th century. The Matron Stone (centre) was from a time that the Romans occupied Rhineland and consecrated the stone in honour of one of their female Gods.
